Equipment and items are things every player needs. These can be bought in a Root Town's shopping district, and each player starts off with a level one weapon upon joining The World R:2. These weapons are fully customizable, from parts and pieces to looks and names. The weapons level up in skills as the player levels up.
Equipping Armor:
Equipped armor is different than in real time. Armor and the like put onto a character exist on a separate space only influencing the characters stats instead of their looks. A character's looks are determined from when they first start, and they will look that way no matter the armor that is put n. The only exception to this is the Adept Rogue class, which changes appearance every time they go through a Job Exchange.
Equipping Weapons:
An equipped weapons is much like armor in that is exists on a separate space. Weapons are brought in to this world by making the drawing motion with your hands on the corresponding parts of the body. An example of this is with Edge Punisher when they draw their Broadswords. Edge Punishers would reach towards their back and grasp the air, light enveloping their hand as they bring their arm forth, the weapon forming in their hand. Another example is the Twin Blader, who would draw their weapons like one would draw knives; either from the hip or from the lower or upper part of their backs.
Items:
Various items such as Health Drinks are stored within a characters inventory, which also exists on a separate space much like armor and weapons. Items are used through a one post prep and use system in which the hands of the user will glow for one post, then the item will be used the next. Items can be used upon the individual player or anyone in their party.
Weapon List
Swords:
[Medium-power Melee]
Swords are medium-sized, one-handed, or katana-like swords wielded by the Blade Brandier. They can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Fan:
[Magic]
Fans are twin one-handed fans wielded by the Macabre Dancer that allow them to cast magic only, no melee is allowed. They can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Broadsword:
[Heavy Melee]
Broadswords are large broadswords roughly two meters in size. They come in two types, hold and release which have a normal blade end, or rapid attack, where a chainsaw-esque blade is present along the edge. They are wielded by the Edge Punisher, and can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Scythe:
[Medium-range Melee]
Scythes are large scythes with a two meter pole and a one meter curved blade. They are wielded by the Flick Reaper, and can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Staves:
[Healing Magic / Melee]
Staves are one-and-a-half meter staffs capable of producing healing magic. These staffs can be used offensively as a weapon, but only does half the attack damage of a normal offensive weapon. They are used by Harvest Clerics, and can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Lance:
[Medium-range Melee]
Lances are large lances roughly two meters in size, and used for piercing damage. They are wielded by the Lord Partizan, and can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Grimoires:
[Attack Magic / Melee]
Grimoires are handheld books attached to a staff, the counterpart of a Harvest Clerics stave but instead of healing magic, it uses destruction magic. It can be used as an offensive weapon but with half damage. They are wielded by the Shadow Warlock, and can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Bayonets:
[Long-range / Melee]
Bayonets are thin rifle-like weapons roughly one meter in size and are capable of firing energy projectiles. It is also capable of melee attacks with the attached blades on the barrel of the rifle which do only half the attack stat in damage. It is powered by the attack stat and wielded by the Steam Gunner. It can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Gauntlets:
[Fast Melee]
A Gauntlet is a special glove crafted for the Tribal Grappler and used for more rapid attacks. Appearances for the Gauntlet can vary from fist-held weapons to large, oversized paws. They can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Twin Blades:
[Medium-power Melee]
Twin Blades are dual short swords wielded by the Twin Blader class. The blades have two attack types, hold and release with a normal blade edge, or rapid attack with a chainsaw-esque blade edge. They can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Dual Pistols:
[Medium-range / Melee]
Dual Pistols are twin handheld pistols wielded by the Dual Gunner class. Their attacks are powered by Magic attack, with 6 shots per pistol with a one post reload. Energy projected blades on the side of the barrel can do impact damage equal to that of half the attack stat. They can be customized in look and name to fit the player.
Attack Types:
-Hold and Release: Unique weapons with this type allow you to do a one post charge in which you draw back with the weapon, and after the charge the weapon gains 2X the weapon's attack power for one strike.
-Rapid Attacks: Unique weapons with this type allow one to do extra damage with their weapons by holding them against the blade's saw-like edge. This will continuously do a base of 1 hp of damage for however long it is in place, and this damage is influenced mostly by the speed stat.
